Charity Day at Macy's [20 Sep 2008|07:25am]

Ok, so I usually am not one to go "omg, we're doing this at work, it's uber awesome!" all over the communities... especially since... well, yah, you all either hear our commercials on the radio or see it on t.v., haha.

BUT today's a very important day at Macy's. It's our annual Charity Day! There will be 13 local charities outside Macy's today selling a 20%/10% (it's 20% off in clothing and accessories, 10% off in home and small electronics) coupons for $5. The charities get to keep the ENTIRE $5 that you pay for the coupon.

If you come into the store and buy the coupon, we're supporting the American Heart Association and the Family Violence Prevention Fund.

So please, come out to Macy's today and help support our local charities! And while you're out this morning & early afternoon, stop by the "Complex" of fitting rooms in Ladies' Better Sportswear and say hi to me!

Wabash County Natives, I need your help!! [09 Apr 2007|12:20am]

[ mood | crazy ]

Ok, so anyone from Wabash County around in this communty (also x-posted to Fort Wayne's Group)? I need a bit of help. IMMEDIATELY.

You see... I'm doing this wonderful slideshow for my parents' 25th wedding anniversary party. And I would love a picture of the restaurant where they had their first date.

But you see, it;s in Wabash, an hour away, and I have very very little free time... so I've been attempting to search the net, but I can';t even find the restaurant!! ACK!

The restaurant is on Cass St. in Wabash, near Lo Bill's... the name is/was "Mike's Little Italy" or some such. I need a picture.

But I'm not sure if I even have the restaurant name right... do I? And if so, if you happen to have a picture of this restaurant for some strange reason, could you please link me to it? Because I seriously would love you forever. :D

Thanks in advance for ANY help I could get!

[20 Jul 2006|07:41am]

Has anyone been on campus (IPFW) lately and noticed all the pavement they're digging up, and all the stuff they're doing to buildings, especially Neff? To me, it looked like they were making a big hullabaloo fixing nothing at all: does anyone know what the hell they're doing?

Attention Talking Fetus [10 Apr 2006|01:05pm]

Dear Talking Fetus,

We appreciate your "enthusiasm" for the 1st amendment and the right of free speech. We were even not *too* annoyed with your first onslaught of posters with the cute little fetus picking our brains. The Stickers were a bit much though...

And now, you're attacking our student organizations directly. This has proven that you have gone too far. These student organizations are on campus to provide fellowship for our students and often to help provide counseling for those who seek it.

But you have taken down their posters (which is against school policy) and replaced them with your own (again, against school policy, as you don't seem to be a student organization). You're now violating the rights of those student organizations to have their posters.

So now, your message is lost... because it comes across as hate. We'd appreciate it if you would stop tearing down our posters. We'd really appreciate it if you came into the Student Life Office and talked to Linda or Audry or even to the student org. suites and talk to those whose posters you have vandalized.

Concerned Members of the Student Organizations at IPFW.

Posters on Campus [16 Nov 2005|03:37pm]

[ mood | homework ]

It seems that every bulletin board and every window on campus is filled with posters by various organizations having meetings. Most of them don't really get my attention, but one did. It wasn't so much the topic (abortion), as it was the poster design. So, I thought I would ask fellow college students to check out the poster and comment on it, if you wish.

Volleyball in town [28 Sep 2005|11:09pm]

If anyone in town is interested in getting into a volleyball league I can help you out. It is something to do in this town, and all levels of play are available from beginner to advanced. This would be for indoor leagues which are a lot of fun, and are played at Spiece and the Concordia Seminary...

Is anyone's WebCT or myipfw working? [09 Jun 2005|01:39pm]

Just wondering if ipfw's homepage is working for anyone? WebCT and myipfw aren't working for me either. I just get an error page. I don't live in Fort Wayne.. but this happened a few weeks ago and they said nothing was wrong, but later on figured their server wasn't working right or something. Just wondering if it's working for anyone or not.
